Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, or AAC, has been known and widely used throughout the world for more than 80 years. Its many advantages have made it a preferred building material in Europe and Asia. And now, it is changing the way America builds.
AAC is a sustainable, environmentally sound building material, manufactured from readily available, inorganic materials. It is totally non-toxic, in both its manufacture and finished state. AAC has become a widely recognized “green” alternative to other conventional building materials.
AAC is produced in building blocks of various sizes and thickness. This lightweight material (about one-fifth the weight of ordinary concrete) combines the strength of masonry with the workability and ease of handling of wood.
Carolina AAC is bringing this versatile and highly sought after product to the Piedmont region from our plant outside Florence, South Carolina.
